Varun Tej – Sai Pallavi’s romantic-drama ‘Fidaa’ completed its theatrical run at the box office with huge profits. The film minted Rs 36.24 crores share approximately at the Telugu states Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in its closing run.
While the film grossed $2063k at the USA box office in its total run with a distributor share amount of Rs 7.24 crores approximately. From the Karnataka markets, Sekhar Kammula’s directional project raked Rs 2.40 crores share at the box office in its closing run.The rest of the India and rest of the world collection in its total run will be around Rs 1.30 crores share approximately.
On the whole, Varun Tej – Sekhar Kammula’s ‘Fidaa’ minted Rs 47.18 crores share approximately at the worldwide box office in its closing run, which is the career best collection among the both actor and director’s film.
As the film’s worldwide theatrical rights were sold for Rs 18 crores, ‘Fidaa’ remained as a hugely profitable venture for its distributors by earning a decent profit of Rs 29.18 crores in its total run.
However, the movie could have touched Rs 50 crores share mark if there is no GST, as post-GST, the distributors are losing around 10 to 15% revenue in terms of extra tax.
