Pawan Kalyan – Shruti Haasan’s family entertainer ‘Katamarayudu’, which released on March 24th, completed its Theatrical run worldwide now.
The movie raked Nizam – Rs 14.85 crores, Ceeded – Rs 8.15 crores, Vizag – Rs 6.28 crores, West Godavari – Rs 4.25 crores, East Godavari – Rs 5.40 crores, Guntur – Rs 4.98 crores, Nellore – Rs 2.09 crores and Krishna – Rs 3.70 crores, taking total AP/TS collections to Rs 49.67 crores. As the Telugu states theatrical rights were sold for Rs 63.7 crores, the film faced a loss of Rs 14.03 crores for its distributors in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
In the USA, the movie raked $1.16 million, where the share amount is Rs 3.40 crores. The rest of the world collections in its final run is Rs 1.52 crores share. As the overseas rights were sold for Rs 11.5 crores, the movie remained as huge loss venture for its buyers with more than 55% loss.
The Karnataka and rest of the India collections of Dolly directional project ‘Katamarayudu’ in the closing run is Rs 5.46 crores and Rs 1.48 crores.
Overall, Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Katamarayudu’ minted Rs 61.53 crores share in its total run at the worldwide box office. The movie remained as a flop at the box office as it failed to recover Rs 84.5 crores of its Theatrical price worldwide with a loss of Rs 22.97 crores for its distributors.
However, Katamarayudu remained as the second biggest hit in Pawan Kalyan’s career after Attarintiki Daredi, which minted Rs 75 crores worldwide.
