Mollywood Megastar Mammootty’s new film ‘Puthan Panam’ hit the theaters in Kerela yesterday, the film directed by Ranjith, opened up with mixed reviews from the critics and the general public. Despite mixed reports, the movie collected good amount on its opening day, which released in limited screens.
The movie released in 137 screens across the Kerela and it minted Rs 1.83 crores gross at the box office on the first day of its release. Considering the limited screens release of the film, it is a good start for Mammootty’s ‘Puthan Panam’ at the box office.
In the Kochi Multiplexes, the film raked Rs 7.68 lakhs from 27 shows with an occupancy of 91.66%, This is a superb start for Ranjith’s directional movie at the Kochi Multiplexes.
However, we need to wait and see how will it perform at the box office in its forthcoming days amidst mixed reviews and competition from Vin Diesel’s ‘Fast and Furious 8’ and Nivin Pauly’s ‘Sakhavu’ which releasing this week.
Nonetheless, Mammootty’s ‘The Great Father’ is having huge release across UAE-GCC in 81 locations today.
