Dulquer Salmaan’s romantic-thriller-drama ‘Solo’ off to superb start at the box office. The film, which released in 225 screens with more than 700 shows grossed Rs 3.45 crores approximately at the Kerala box office on its opening day with a distributor share amount of Rs 1.55 crores approximately.
In the Kochi Multiplexes alone, the film grossed Rs 8.01 lakhs approximately on Thursday with a record occupancy of 99.52%. From the rest of the India markets, Bejoy Nambiar’s directional project grossed Rs 89 lakhs approximately on the first day with a distributor share amount of Rs 42 lakhs approximately.
On the whole, Dulquer Salmaan – Bejoy Nambiar’s ‘Solo’ grossed Rs 4.34 crores approximately at the Indian box office on day one of its release, which is the career-best opening among lead actor’s films.
Despite mixed reports, the film is expected to do well until the weekend eyeing for a collection around Rs 12 crores gross by the end of the first-weekend run.
