Taapsee’s ‘Naam Shabana’ performed moderately at the box office on the 6th day of its release. After minting Rs 2.5 crores nett on Tuesday, the film collected Rs 1.8 crores nett on Wednesday taking the total six days India collection to Rs 25.6 crores nett. The share and gross amount of ‘Naam Shabana’ in 6 days will be close to Rs 13.2 crores and Rs 35.84 crores.
Despite the poor talk, Shivam Nair’s movie performing moderately at the ticket window due to no big competition at the ticket window. On the other hand, the film collected close to Rs 4.72 crores gross from the overseas box office in six days run.
The total 6 days worldwide collection of Taapsee – Akshay Kumar’s ‘Naam Shabana’ is Rs 40.56 crores gross and Rs 14.98 crores share. As the movie was made under a budget of Rs 25 crores including production and publicity costs, it still needs to recover Rs 10.02 crores to remain as the safe project for the producers.
However, if we compare ‘Naam Shabana’ with 2015’s ‘Baby’ collections, it is very poor at the box office as ‘Baby’ minted Rs 124.86 crores gross in its six days run worldwide.
Naam Shabana is a spin-off to Taapsee’s character from the 2015 film Baby written by Neeraj Pandey. The film has Danny Denzongpa, Madhurima Tulli, Murali Sharma, Elli Avram and Anupam Kher in special appearances along with Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar.
