Sharwanand – Lavanya Tripathi’s romantic comedy drama ‘Radha’ has a good start at the box office in its opening week. The film raked Rs 56 lakhs approximately on Thursday in Telugu states Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, taking the total collection to Rs 7.26 crores share in its 1st-week run.
In the USA, the film grossed $125k approximately in its 7 days run with a distributor share amount of Rs 24.3 lakhs. As the movie’s theatrical rights were sold for Rs 1.5 crores, it still needs to mint Rs 1.257 crores to reach its break-even amount. With below-par performance at the ticket window in the USA, the film is heading towards a huge loss venture for its distributors.
While the theatrical rights were sold for Rs 10 crores in the Telugu states, as the film already earned a distributor share amount of Rs 7.26 crores in its 1st-week run, it still needs to mint Rs 2.74 crores to reach its break-even amount.
On the other hand, the rest of the India and rest of the world collection will be close to Rs 40 lakhs share approximately in its 7 days run.
Overall, Sharwanand’s ‘Radha’ raked Rs 7.8 crores share from the worldwide box office by the end of its 1st-week run.
