S S Rajamouli’s fantasy revenge drama ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ is steady at the ticket window in the Tamilnadu. The movie crossed Rs 100-crore mark at the Tamilnadu box office within 16 days of its release by grossing Rs 101.2 crores at the ticket window.
After Rajinikanth’s Enthiran, which minted Rs 108 crores at the Tamilnadu box office in its lifetime run, Prabhas’s Baahubali 2 is the second movie to gross Rs 100 crore mark in the Tamilnadu.
Going by the current trend, there is no surprise even if the movie surpasses Enthiran collections to emerge as new Industry hit in Kollywood.
In its 16 days of its release, the film earned a distributor share of Rs 53.5 crores. As the theatrical rights were sold for Rs 37 crores in Tamilnadu, Baahubali 2 remained as profitable venture for its distributors by raking in Rs 16.5 crores profit till date.
Nonetheless, S S Rajamouli – Prabhas’s ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ grossed Rs 1288.6 crores from the worldwide box office in its 16 days run with a distributor share amount of Rs 649.88 crores.
