Madhya Pradesh government is launching ‘Aaspass ki Khoj’ program focusing on upgrading the knowledge of the students about the social awareness that includes festivals, culture, rituals and beliefs in their specific areas.
‘Aaspass ki khoj’ is planned for the government school students with the intention to spread awareness about local culture and tradition. It is being launched through ‘School Education Department’. TOI reports that as many as 2,966 schools have been selected from 51 districts and the projects will be organized by wards under the program.
A public relation officer informed the objective of this program is passing on information such as national heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country, the significance of various historical and cultural heritage of their areas and to make them polythene-free etc. The project will also include information about local festivals, beliefs, local crops, actions during calamities, folk culture, sonnets and local proverbs etc.
The education officers of the respective districts have been informed and asked to conduct activities by making teams of class 6,7, and 8th at school.He informed that a book will be prepared on the project works. The orders have been issued to District Institute of Education & Training (DIET) of all districts to coordinate.
